Columella Castro Bonae Spei 2002

External Review by Astor Wines & Spirits:

A red that's based on Syrah with a bit of Mourvèdre and comes from the Swartland subregion of South Africa. Made in the name of those fantastic northern Rhône wines we love to drink. Velvety textured tannins, black spiced berries, licorice, butter. Wonderfully balanced with great acidity. A young wine that merits your attention. Age-worthy. Named after Columella, an astute Roman who wrote on agriculture in the 1st century. Estate-grown fruit. Organic.
