Blueberries on the nose, very bright and youthful - thinner and less leathery than the 2002 (tasted together). Tar on the finish, the wine has some structure and will be interesting to see how it ages.

Rating: 89/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the November 2010 issue. Showing plenty of straightforward blackberry fruitiness and appropriately varietal pepper, this substantial, nicely stuffed youngster is clear about just what it is, and it is equally clear about its need for additional age, and three or four years seems the minimal wait before it can even begin to unwind and really round into shape.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Cellar for future drinking. Wine will improve with bottle aging.
