Columbia Winery Riesling Columbia Valley 2008
Light fruity aroma, lovely mouth feel slightly sweet but not cloying. So far my favorite wine. Found at Sam's Club for under 6.00!
This is, BY FAR, the BEST Rielsling I have EVER had!!!
19% residual sugar. Lychee's on the nose, followed by a great balance of glazed peaches, very flavorful. Some nice spice and good acidity throughout. Well priced - on sale for $20 when i saw it
This is a very nice riesling. Pretty straight forward and not too complex. Its sweetness is perfectly balanced by it acidity. Apricots dominate the flavor but you will also find pineapple and papaya. Not as deep and flavorful as a mid market German Spatlese, but a great wine at its price point. This one is a real crowd pleaser among those that appreciate sweet wine
Excellent wine for beginners. It's refreshing sweetness goes excellent with a meal. Just don't drink too much of this one, or you will hate rieslings for the rest of your natural life.
My wife loves this wine, I will drink it with her from time to time, but preferr my reds to her sweet whites. She enjoys this all year round, excellent wine to drink with friends before, during and after dinner. She really enjoys it with fresh fruit.

Rating: 83/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the September 2010 issue. More candied than fruity and never quite clear as to just what grape it might be made from, this poorly defined wine is undermined by ongoing bitterness that its very ample sugars are unable to hide.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.
Pale yellow in color with aromas of pear, apricot and honeysuckle. On the palate, fresh delicious pear, apricot and honey with balanced acidity and a long, mouthwatering finish. - Winery
Floral, honeyed aroma with hints of apricot, pear and allspice. Rich and full-flavored fruit on the palate is balanced by clean, crisp acidity
At 1.6% residual sugar, it retains the impression of dryness on the palate, with tangy green citrus fruit flavors, and floral highlights in the nose. It's a fine choice to accompany summer salads and light sea foods.
Perfectly captures the bright apple/pear fruit, succulent sweetness and fresh acids of Columbia Valley Riesling. Always a fine value, but in this spectacular vintage it ramps it up am extra notch or two of flavor.
Nicely perfumed with a musky/grapey scent, this low alcohol (10.4%) sweet Riesling is pleasant and clean, but a bit attenuated. It has plenty of sugary honey and some simple canned peach fruit, but stops there.
