A terrific food companion, the 1999 Gewurztraminer offers aromas of spice and exotic lychee nut. Acidity and sweetness are perfectly balanced on the palate, inviting further enjoyment. A perfect example of the refreshing appeal of this Columbia Valley variety, says winemaker Doug Gore. A terrific food companion, the 1999 Gewurztraminer offers aromasof spice and exotic lychee nut. This is a real success for the winery, made bracingly fresh and crisp despite its 3% residual suger. Bright flavors of pink grapefruit dominate the palae, filling out a pristine, crisp and deliciously fresh finish. - Wine Enthusiast Pale straw yellow color. Full aroma of all spice and ripe grapefruit with distinct note of lychee fruit. Medium-dry in the mouth, full flavored with clean fruit and natural acidity. Tasting Note: A late vintage gave unusually long hang time for the grapes, intensifying fruit character and maintaning excellent acid balance. Alcohol: 11.5%
