Columbia Winery Cellarmaster's Riesling 2009
Distinctly different from other WA state Rieslings. Rich with a great perfumy nose. Outstanding fruit but age is starting to reduce it now.

Nicely perfumed with a musky/grapey scent, this low alcohol (10.4%) sweet Riesling is pleasant and clean, but a bit attenuated. It has plenty of sugary honey and some simple canned peach fruit, but stops there.
Sweet, balanced with tart acidity, but not melded well enough to show the lemony apricot flavors to advantage. Drink now through 2006.
Sweet but balanced. The phenolic texture makes it less cloying as the pineapple and nectarine flavors linger. Drink now.
At 1.6% residual sugar, it retains the impression of dryness on the palate, with tangy green citrus fruit flavors, and floral highlights in the nose. It's a fine choice to accompany summer salads and light sea foods.
Sweet wine. A beautifully balanced wine that has classic floral, Riesling aromas. This wine is almost clear in color as Rieslings have very little pigment and are generally tank fermented.

You canrsquo;t beat this price for a very good quality Washington Riesling from a reputable producer. This version is soft and sweet, with pretty pear, cream and peach flavors that linger on the gentle finish. Drink now.
