Columbia Valley Harvest Select Sweet Riesling 2012
Our Harvest Select Riesling is made in a slightly sweeter style than our 'Columbia Valley Riesling' but still shows the elements of classic Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling. It offers beautiful crisp Washington Riesling character with rich flavors of ripe pears and peaches. The fresh fruit punch and richness is balanced with crisp acidity to keep the wine in harmony. This is a perfect patio sipping wine or would be a great match with Thai food.
The 2012 HARVEST SELECT IS LIGHTER THAN THE 2011. It is characterized by nectarine but has a short finish. It has a light body and is simple. I'm not impressed. No Botrytis. My rating 75.
External Reviews for Columbia Valley Harvest Select Sweet Riesling
This is an excellent Harvest Select bottling, with bright, sappy flavors that seem not all that sweet. The residual sugar, listed at 47 g/L, is an asset, but doesn’t dominate. Flavors remain as crisp as a fresh Macintosh apple, juicy, forward and delicious.
Fresh, sweet and appealing, with pretty pear and floral flavors, persisting on the light, satiny finish. Drink now.
