Food Pairings for Columbia Valley Gewürztraminer
My first Gewürztraminer! Smells like a riesling, pear and apricot! Refreshing like champagne, has a little of the bubbliness, nice acidity giving it the crispness. Calming and smooth with notes of dried apricot, lychees (which I love!) and a certain mild spice (cannot figure out what..). It has a certain mild bitterness at the end. Medium dry finish and a nice coating in your mouth! I had it with grilled juicy Salmon and it was great!

Very much a food wine, it minimizes the floral oiliness of the grape in favor of citrus rind and spice. Crisp and fresh, with a touch of sweetness, it makes a perfect partner for crab cakes, Asian noodle dishes, or summer salads.
Light and refreshing, this off-dry white has pretty apple and grapefruit flavors shaded with floral and exotic spice notes, lingering refreshingly. Drink now.
"A fan favorite, this Gewürztraminer is such an enjoyable wine with exuberant fruit and clove spice. This is a lush style of Gewürztraminer with a lot of floral character, yet it still maintains the grapes natural crisp character. A touch of Muscat offers citrus notes and a deeper spice character. Try this wine with Thai food or any cuisine with a little "bite" to it." - Bob Bertheau, Head Winemaker
Soft and fruity, with gentle pear, orange peel and spice flavors that echo lightly on the off-dry finish. Drink now.
Fragrant, ripe lemon, peach blossom and honeysuckle aromas, crisp peach flavors, and a spicy finish characteristic of the varietal.
This is classic gewurz in its peach and litchi scents. While it doesnrsquo;t have a lot of drive, the flavors are true-to-form and balanced. For a high-heat Indian curry.
