What to Expect

Syrah: One of the few grapes to really be a global success. Syrah combines a meaty core of ripe berry fruit with tones that range from herbal to peppery in a package that tends to be medium bodied with good acidity and softer tannins. With age the wines can gain lovely leathery and black olive notes that make them a great match for savory and gamy dishes.

Plummy and a bit sharp. Good with a spaghetti dinner.

A bit too sharp and woody for me, but drinkable.

The Two Vines Shiraz features New World-style, ripe, jammy fruitiness blended from varieties traditional in theRhone Valley. Black cherry and white pepper aromaticsare also pronounced on the palate along with hintsof boysenberry and raspberry. The lingering finish ispleasingly supple. - Ray Einberger, Winemaker

I couldn't help but feel that I was drinking grape juice with alcohol, rather than an actual, crafted wine. The flavors were nice and fruity, but it lacked focus and substance.

Wine Enthusiast ReviewRated 87 BEST BUYA good effort, with plenty of snap and sizzle for an eight dollar wine. You get juicy berry fruit, some clean spice and suggestions of white pepper, fine acids and a decent length. It says Shiraz, but it's less of an Aussie style and more of a snappy, acid-driven Washington take.

Just had a bottle 2 days ago, it has gotten better and better and better.
And here we thought it was at its peak a year ago, but it seems to keep on getting better!
Am beginning to wonder just how good this is going to get. It's nearing classic status, and easily outranks just about any under $30 bottle I could think of. And I got several bottles at 5 bucks (yes that's FIVE)... if you find ANY at less than 15usd, you are getting a stone cold bargain.
