Reviews

Columbia Crest’s wildly popular Grand Estates series continues to produce one top wine after another. This Cab is a complex blend of aromatics and flavors, with red and black fruits mingling with vanilla, milk chocolate and spices. A beautifully refined wine that won gold at the Enological Society of the Northwest Wine Competition.

The 2004 harvest was characterized by smaller berry and clustersize, with intense flavors, good sugar development and highnatural acidity. Slight spice, chocolate, and hints of coconut and blackcherry aromas lead into a subtle and harmonious balanceof oak and fruit on the palate. This supple winetrails into a slightly spiced cocoa finish.

Well, this one disappointed me. I found it to be a bit bitter, dry & lacking strong, identifiable fruit.
