Columbia Crest Riesling Washington Two Vines 2011
At Columbia Crest we pride ourselves on delivering handcrafted, superior-quality small-lot wines, as well as affordable everyday Washington wines. Our first release in 1984 started a tradition that has established us as one of America’s most popular and fast-growing wineries.
Fruity and spicy to start with a strong honey finish
The color is a very pale yellow. There are aromas of peach and dried apricot. Flavors are crisp and include apple, apricot, and pear. It is off-dry, lively on the tongue, with a long finish. A good summertime wine that will pair well with lots of food, or can be sipped by itself. I purchased at $5.55.
It was very very sweet. I know rieslings usually are, but this one was too much to handle. It was almost candy-like. I didn't like it at all and will not be buying it again.
light, crisp, sweet, floral
crisp, peach, slightly sweet went well with our fish

'Bright aromas of orange zest and apples arecomplimented by a hint of minerality. Rich, lingering flavors of pear and mandarin orange are accentuated by crisp acidity, leading to a lively, vibrant finish.'
This is just a bit on the sweet side, but there is plenty of acidity to be found. It’s fruity, peachy, succulent and fresh.
Soft and refreshing, with pretty pear and floral flavors that linger gently on the lightly sweet finish. Drink now.
This unrestrained Riesling opens with aromas of guava, lime zest and honeysuckle, giving it a tropical impression. Intense flavors of nectarine, apricot and mandarin orange rest on a lively acid structure balancing an early sweetness, ending in a candy-like finish.
Sweet, but not soft, with a lively tang of acidity to balance the deftly nuanced pear, honey and floral flavors, lingering well. Drink now through 2015.
