User Reviews for Columbia Crest Riesling Washington Two Vines
Add your reviewThe color is a very pale yellow. There are aromas of peach and dried apricot. Flavors are crisp and include apple, apricot, and pear. It is off-dry, lively on the tongue, with a long finish. A good summertime wine that will pair well with lots of food, or can be sipped by itself. I purchased at $5.55.
It was very very sweet. I know rieslings usually are, but this one was too much to handle. It was almost candy-like. I didn't like it at all and will not be buying it again.
golden color, full body, sweet, little acidity that lingers in the back of your mouth It's a good wine with or w/out food, but probably a little too sweet for my taste. Great beginner wine
Last night we made a Pad Thai recipe from Food and Wine, http://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/chicken-pad-thai, magazine. They recommended a California or Australian Riesling: "Anything more than a straightforward white with some residual sugar would be pointless with the forceful flavors of the pad thai. A riesling from California or Australia will be fine". I went shopping and decided to try this Columbia Crest Riesling because we have enjoyed their reds. It was a great choice. It had just the right balance of sweetness versus tartness to fit well with the slightly spicy dish.

'Bright aromas of orange zest and apples arecomplimented by a hint of minerality. Rich, lingering flavors of pear and mandarin orange are accentuated by crisp acidity, leading to a lively, vibrant finish.'
Sweet, but not soft, with a lively tang of acidity to balance the deftly nuanced pear, honey and floral flavors, lingering well. Drink now through 2015.
This unrestrained Riesling opens with aromas of guava, lime zest and honeysuckle, giving it a tropical impression. Intense flavors of nectarine, apricot and mandarin orange rest on a lively acid structure balancing an early sweetness, ending in a candy-like finish. - Winery
This budget Riesling sets a good standard for the style and the price. Itrsquo;s off-dry, low alcohol (11.5%) and solidly varietal. The fruit is full bodied and ripe, with vivid peach and apricot flavors. Additional notes of honey and lemony breakfast tea keep the finish up and running.
Th is delicate Riesling off ers aromas of peach blossoms and green apples.Flavors of apple, pear and citrus rest against a lean frame and fi nish withclean, crisp acidity on the palate.'
