Columbia Crest Riesling Columbia Valley Grand Estates 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

This delicate Riesling offers aromas of peach blossoms and green apples. Flavors of apple, pear and citrus rest against a lean frame and finish with clean, crisp acidity on the palate.

This budget Riesling sets a good standard for the style and the price. Itandrsquo;s off-dry, low alcohol (11.5%) and solidly varietal. The fruit is full bodied and ripe, with vivid peach and apricot flavors. Additional notes of honey and lemony breakfast tea keep the finish up and running.

Sweet, but not soft, with a lively tang of acidity to balance the deftly nuanced pear, honey and floral flavors, lingering well. Drink now through 2015.

Elegant peach, apricot and honeysuckle aromas replay on the palate. The wine is crisp and refreshing with just enough sweetness to balance the lingering finish. Try serving it with fresh shucked oysters or rosemary-grilled chicken.

A new line for value leader Columbia Crest, this exceptionally fragrant, off-dry Riesling bursts with honeysuckle scents and tropical fruit flavors. Therersquo;s enough crispness to support the residual sugar and keep the wine poised and vivid.

A tangy, green apple flavored Riesling, with some light melon fruit also. It shows more varietal character than the rsquo;04 and has a nice juicy pop to the midpalate, despite the relatively high residual sugar.
