Has a mild berry scent. Sweet start, medium body, with a soft caramel finish.
This was a Surprise for the price. Got it on closeout for under $5. Slight Sweetness of Berries in the front with a hint of pepper then a smooth carmel finish that lasted. Ummm Really nice!
I shall not add to the other reviews. Although the 2006 is gone, Two Vines Merlot-Cabernet is my go-to wine when asked to bring something for an audience not especially inclined to wine. Show up with a $13 magnum and you're a hero. It's a pretty good wine which will please non-wine people.

This is the second vintage of their popular Merlot/Cabernet, a blend of 59% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc, and 19% Cabernet Sauvignon. Black cherry and raspberry aromas are arranged nicely with mocha and sweet coconut. Similar flavors repeat on the palate where they are joined by spice and peppercorn. A mouth-filling and engaging wine with a lingering finish.
The newest release of Two Vines Merlot-Cabernet is from the outstanding 2005 vintage, and is easily their best since 2002. Dusty, toasty and bone dry, this excellent budget red includes a little Cabernet Franc in the blend. Along with the supple berry-flavored fruit, there are pleasing grace notes of spice, coffee and cocoa.
Light in texture, with pleasant plum and spice flavors that linger against fine tannins. Drink now through 2012.
Light strawberry red, mint green, charcoal black flavors merge in this light-bodied wine. It finishes sweet as a lipstick kiss, a simple red for everyday.
Light in texture, with an open weave to the silky raspberry and coffee flavors, finishing with surprising refinement. Drink now.
How amazing it is to find a wine of this caliber, with some nice age on it, selling at this price. There is plenty of color, and scents of bramble, cherry, tobacco, ash, bark and smoke. In short, this is a party wine, smooth and delicious, with generous cherry, blueberry and raspberry fruit, ripe tannins and perfectly balanced acids. Put this into a blind tasting with some $30 Bordeaux blends from elsewhere, and you are sure to amaze your friends.
