Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Multitasking again, sipping this Merlot to its very end on a late Saturday afternoon in January was more enjoyable than watching the Jets beat the Bengals. I don't drink much inexpensive new world Merlot, but this bottle was a very good value.

Oaky nose, very sweet/candied fruit palate balanced with tangy acidity, moderate to high tannins and a little spice.

Very nice bottle, unexpected actually for what I thought this would be...dark fruit on nose, medium bodied, chocolate milk consistency and taste at one point - nice mouth feel. Nice cherry fruit balanced with background oak. Nice solo and with a meal of spicy food that night (and an episode of lost). Bogle Merlot was the last I've tried, which was also good.

lLight nose though full of berries. Palate opens with cherries and currants, nice finish with some tannins and a bit of acidity. The Cab Franc comes through on finish. Great with stewed and grilled beef. Can shelve for a year or two as well.
