Remaining true to its Washington state pedigree, finesse and elegance mark the stylistic philosophy of this wine. Soft notes of cassis, cherry and mint are underscored by subtle tannins on a velvety finish.

This budget wine has sweet fruit and soft tannins, along with surprising concentration and length. Offsetting a hint of stemminess are generous, varietally true flavors, and a rich, meaty nose that suggests beef and coffee.

Smooth in texture, generous in flavor, a medium-scale red with pretty raspberry, leather and tar notes mingling on the round finish. From a consistently good Washington producer. Drink now through 2004.
