Add your reviewPurple color with nose that starts as peat bog, mineral and pepper with sour cherry. As the wine opens up a toasty cinnamon character really takes over on the nose. The palate has some initial hints of vanilla and caramel that gives way to plum, black cherry, cedar and some light pepper on the finish. The pepper is really enhanced with salty and spicy food pairing.
I rate this one very nice, the deep berry taste and spicy overtones should be a treat to any Cabernet lover. I measure other Cabs against this one because it does my wine palate right.
For the price, this one is a definite must. Seems like the stores are purging some of the 05's to 07's ready to stock the 2008's........some already on the shelf. The berry flavors are deep and the spicy reward is nice. I liked it so much this is my second review! I measure different Cabs against this one in my constant search for the wine that satisfies my palate.
