Columbia Crest Gewürztraminer Columbia Valley 2009
Winemaker's Notes:
Score: N/A Tasting Notes: Classic Gewurztraminer aromas of spice, lychee and rose petals mingle with fragrant notes of orange blossom. Introductory flavors of candied orange evolve into flavors of pink grapefruit and finishing with bright acidity, deftly balancing early impressions of subtle sweetness. Web Site: Click Here

This is off dry, low alcohol (11.5%), spiced up with tart acidity and loaded with rich, ripe fruit flavors mixing pears and peaches. Sweet without being sugary, it should appeal to a wide spectrum of wine drinkers, and snap together the flavors of a Thai food. Columbia Crest makes 18,000 cases of this wine.

Sweet and silky, with pretty pear, orange and spice flavors that linger effortlessly on the soft finish. Nice affordable introduction to New World Gewuuml;rtz. Drink now.

This wine walks the line between sweet and tart, showing pumped up fruit in front and vivid, spicy highlights following The fruit flavors run from pears to pineapple, and overall, itrsquo;s a balanced and juicy bottle, perfect for Pacific Rim cooking.

Off-dry with lemon-drop fruit flavors, a lick of citrus that suggests pear and lime. Though itrsquo;s a fairly simple, fruit-forward wine, it delivers a concentrated burst of fresh, vivid flavor thatrsquo;s missing from most wines in this price range.

The breadth of quality varietals from Washington State is steadily growing. This Gewurz is light and simple but has an incredibly clean, gently sweet tropical fruit character on the nose and palate. The varietalrsquo;s typical soft acidity permits the fruitrsquo;s flesh to dominate. Incredible value.

Exotic spice and lychee nut aromas introduce a wine with the ideal balance of acidity and sweetness. The finish is lush and juicy. A terrific companion with Asian foods.
