Add your reviewBright chardonnay with an immediate attack of sweet pears and pineapple with a candy-like nectar of peaches, nectarines and even apricot, but all in balance. Crisp, almost floral nose. The absence of toasty oak is a nice hint of vanilla. Actually reminiscent of a lovely Batard Montrachet I had before. The second day, some oak came through, but very slight.
Promising nose, with lots of carmel-coated pears, but the palate is quickly overwhelmed by a bitter, oppressive oakiness that gets worse with every sip. Which is a shame, because the grapes seem to have a lot of nice hidden fruit. Spectator's on crack. $12
