WS 89pts. - According to the Wine Spectator: Supple and inviting. A softer style of Cabernet that weaves milk chocolate and spice flavors through the dark berry and currant flavors, mingling effectively on the finish. Drink now through 2012. Tasting Notes - Columbia Crest Winery is producing some fantastic values, and the Grand Estates Cabernet is no exception. According to Winemaker Ray Einberger: Spice, blackberries and cassis aromas fill the nose followed by a medium-bodied, concentrated and satin textured mid-palate; the long finish offers silky tannins and dark chocolate notes.

Wow - great Cab for the money. Wonderful nose. Not much tannin, but drinks great now and would cellar for a few years. One of the best $10 cabs around. got it at Costco for $8.99 - a steal.

Soft vanilla scent. Buttery, sumptious, full wine. Smooth, lingering finish.

This is the second time that we've had this vintage and enjoyed its buttery flavor and at a can't miss price.
