Food Pairings for Columbia Crest Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley Grand Estates
Cheap for a reason
Fruity, not much structure. Good pizza wine or for a hearty stew.
Great for an everyday dinner wine.
I'm a big fan of Columbia Crest & Chateau Ste. Michelle. Their wines are always spot-on for the variety or the blend in the bottle. This is juicy and darkly-fruited with blackberry & black currant at center stage. Evergreen notes dance in the background. A satisfying wine that offers super value.
Great for the price. Intense with tart berry notes and a hint of toasted vanilla flavor.
Delicious deep berry flavor that lingers, a touch of oak, chocolate and great aroma
It is interesting to compare this 2010 Two Vines Cab to their previous efforts. This one lacks intensity of the 2008 and 2009. Plus, it is shorter on fruit. A simple wine. Some cherry in the nose and some cacao --- 84 rating..

Earthy flavors intrude on ripe currant and berry flavors in this light, polished red. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 150,000 cases made.
The Grand Estates Cabernet is solid and consistent from vintage to vintage. It often retails for less than the listed price, making it a particularly fine value. Here, again, the fruit shines with well-focused flavors of pomegranate and berry. The mouthfeel is fresh and flavors vividly etched with excellent length.
Wisps of luscious, dark red fruits float out of the glass. Full-bodied and well-structured, especially for the price, this big wine boasts flavors of ripe currant, juicy plum and dark cherry, with a nice amount of spice.
From the winery, 'This minimally oaked Cabernet Sauvignon offers fruit-forward aromas and flavors of slight cherry and blueberry throughout. The balance of fruit and soft oak provides a lingering finish with hints of cocoa.'

Plump aromas of ripe cherry, red berry and jam fill the nose, followed by notes of luscious berry sweetness on the palate. This textured wine with moderate tannins ends with a round finish.
