Columbia Crest Cab-Merlot 15 2005
At Columbia Crest we pride ourselves on delivering handcrafted, superior-quality small-lot wines, as well as affordable everyday Washington wines. Our first release in 1984 started a tradition that has established us as one of America’s most popular and fast-growing wineries.
This is 60% merlot, 38% cab franc and 2% cab sauv. A nice wine with deep righ fruit from the merlot and a nice smoky character from the cab franc. If you like French wines from Pommerol or St. Emilion (Right Bank), you'll likely enjoy this. I sipped it alone, then had a nice steak which it perfectly complimented.
