Collosorbo Brunello 2001

Winemaker's Notes:

The 2001 Brunello is a gorgeous effort with an expressive perfumed nose and layers of super-ripe red fruit licorice and mineral nuances that open on the palate with great length and freshness framed by fine silky tannins that round out the finish. This sexy irresistibly appealing Brunello should drink well to age 15. [91 pts Robert Parker Jr.]

We've cellared this for 2 years and decided to uncork in 2010. With A portobello osso bucco and finocchio/potato side, we thought we hit a winner! And to the very end of the meal the tannins were still developing. I think it will stay another year, my partner says he'll keep it another 3. I think that is stretching it....
