The 2008 Liberta from Collazzi is an attractive wine loaded with plump dark fruit and sweet French oak. A blend of 50% Merlot, 25% Syrah and 25% Sangiovese, partly aged in oak, the Liberta is best enjoyed while the fruit is vibrant. Anticipated maturity: 2010–2013.

Fresh and fruity, with clean black cherry, berry and chocolate character. This is slightly loose-knit on the medium palate, but the lingering fresh fruit keeps the interest up. Merlot, Syrah and Sangiovese. Drink now.
