User Reviews for Coldisole Brunello

Winemaker's Notes:

Tasting Notes: Brunello di Montalcino is part of the history of great Italian red wines and has been famous since the late-1800s. One of the great red wines of Tuscany, it is the only one - in terms of tradition and regulations - made exclusively with Sangiovese grapes. The Coldisole estate in Montalcino focuses on careful selection of grape bunches during the harvest, followed by vinification leaving the must on the skins for twelve–fourteen days. Refinement takes place in small oak barrels for three years and then in the bottle for a further twelve months. The distinctive and imposing bouquet is matched by a dry, warm, well-balanced and persistent taste. This wine can be aged for twenty–thirty years and is an ideal accompaniment for rich dishes such as roast or braised beef and game, and mature cheese.
