While I think I prefer the '06, the '07 is still a masterful wine from Col Solare. Assertive, ripe, and quite complex. Lots of blackberries, blackcurrents, with touches of vanilla and it finishes with chocolate-covered espresso beans.
Cab Sauv, Merlot, and Cab Franc blend. Fruit fwd, black pepper spice, smooth with a little tannic finish. Opens up and smooths out after 30-45 mins. Best with acidic tomato sauce, big flavors.
