Pungent aromas of spiced apple and sweet oak. Even more intensely structured than the Perrieres; much firmer due to its strong stony minerality. Yet this is even fatter than the Perrieres. Very ripe but sharply delineated. A wine of great finesse and length.

The nose of this particular bottle is not entirely clean though the flavors are rich, round, indeed even luscious with fine detail and length. The nose mostly cleared up with air but this is a less than stellar effort compared to its usual extremely high level of quality. Bad bottle
