This wine tasted very smooth going down. It didn't seem as strong as some of the other wines of this variety that I've tasted. My novice taste buds could not figure out the different types of fruit I was tasting, but overall it tasted good.
This Pinot is very light and smooth. Could be a red you could have with salmon or shellfish. Silky texture and slippery finish.
Affordable pinot that is smooth and always savored. pairs well with a wide variety of foods, but a strong independent indulgence as well. Brings memories of friends and joy.
The first bottle of wine I had, I shared with a friend over dinner. We paid $38 for it and it tagged along great with my dish, which i believe was filet mignon. We both enjoyed it, infact, we had our server pop open a second bottle. I tried cloudline a vintage older, and did recognize a difference. I do recommend this Pinot, along with several other pinots from Oregon, to the beginning pinot drinker.

The 2006 Cloudline is deep ruby red, a sign of its classic Pinot Noir character. On the palate, the wine is soft and round, with a delightful core of cherries and red fruits. The structure is perhaps even a bit better than the much-admired 2005 Cloudline, and the overall fruit-forwardness makes for a wine that is thoroughly enjoyable now and for the next several years to come.

After the smallish 2004 and 2005 harvests, a warm but mild growing season led to an easy harvest of exceptional quality and generous yields. In the cellar, the Pinot Noir moved gently through fermentation, always showing off the soft, pretty nature of the vintage. The '06 Cloudline will be, for many, an excellent first look at this terrific vintage. Dreyfus Ashby proudly presents the 2006 Cloudline Cellars Oregon Pinot Noir. Named by Forbes as one of the 25 Great American Pinot Noirs in America, Cloudline is made under the careful eye of consulting winemaker Véronique Drouhin-Boss. Though it only debuted with the 2002 vintage, Cloudline is already synonymous with delicious, high value Pinot Noir.
