What to Expect

Oregon has only recently emerged as a source for premium wine and is winning fans over to their somewhat earthy style of Pinot Noir. With vineyards a bit cooler than most of California's, yet warmer still than Burgundy, Oregon's Pinot Noirs feature a synthesis of ripe fruit, ripe structure and transparency that draws on the strengths of both. The wines tend to have a touch of earthiness and a sense of transparency that many Pinots from California lack yet the fruit profile, full of dark berries, is decidedly warm-climate in nature.

Reviews

Great wine for celebrating! Big fruity taste, smooth follow-on, very bright color and flavor, generally just leaves a happy feeling. Good value wine for times that call for one glass or one case.

Bright and fruity - a refreshing and interesting Oregon Pinot. Tasted great with grilled salmon.

Bright big fruit, extremely spicy (to the point of feeling almost effervescent), light and delicious. This is a nice wine to have in place of white when pairing with food.

The most striking thing about this wine is its texture: I would go so far as to say it's effervescent. As in, it feels like you're drinking sparkling wine. I'm not *super* into that, but it is crisp and appley and light and tasty.
