This was part of a lot I bought on www.bidforwine.co.uk/auctions/show/14251 and it had come from a house clearance.Graves Superieures is a sweet desert wine made of a blend of semillion and sauvignon blanc similar to a Sauternes or a Barsac but usually cheaper.I served it this weekend at my sister's dinner party where it was a great succes.Typically for a very mature desert wine it had turned a very deep rich amber colour.It had not quite got the fresh fruit taste that the bottle of 2004 Loupiac-Gaudiet I had recently but all the guests liked it and commented that it reminded them of a thick sweet honey or syrup
