What to Expect

The Gamay grape finds it's home in France's Burgundy region where it is responsible for the red wines of Beaujolais. Producing light to medium bodied wines with modest tannins and good acidity, Gamay is unfairly associated with Beaujolais Nouveau. It is capable of producing wonderful, cherry and raspberry flavored wines with earthy hints of violets and spice.

The fruit is fresh, vibrant, and pure, with finely grained minerality. This is one of the best Gamay wines to drink immediately, but it will also benefit from a few years of aging.
