Lots of lovely sweet oak spice serves to sweeten the deep, confidently fruited aromas of this rich, but carefully proportioned Chardonnay, and the wine's plump and very well-polished flavors fully reflect both the oaky richness and relentless, ripe-apple fruit of the nose. Size, as this offering so clearly reminds, is not necessarily antithetical to balance, and fairly full-flavored poultry and seafood fare would be its ideal mealtime companions. -Connoisseurs Guide
