What to Expect

Sauvignon Blanc is a refreshingly crisp white wine that offers citrus and tropical fruit flavors with very aromatic notes of green chilies, grass, herbs, asparagus and gooseberries commonly contributing to the bouquet. Sauvignon Blanc is generally unaoked allowing the fruit to shine and highlighting the delicacy of the grape.

Winemakers Notes

Note the ‘Stelvin’ brand screw top, which is designed to retain all of the bright and fresh fruit tones that our Sauvignon Blanc
In the style of the Loire Valley we fermented two-thirds of this wine in 130 gallon puncheons, allowing us to gain barrel ferment complexity, as well as the subtle influence of new French oak. The remaining portion embraces the new world; fermented and aged in stainless steel at cool temperatures to preserve the gooseberry and tropical fruit tones. Filled with vibrant and pure Sauvignon Blanc varietal character: gooseberry, fresh cut hay, grapefruit, kiwi and quince. The palate is soft and supple on entry, with expansive fruit on the middle. Bright and refreshing acidity tempers the opulent and supple mouthfeel and finish.
