Clos Pegase Chardonnay Mitsuko Vineyard 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

Fresh and vibrant, with pithy white peach, nectarine, peach pit and spicy floral scents.Wine SpectatorThe "signature" of the Mitsuko is quite consistant from year to year. It includes richness, mouthfilling texture and shows some lively pear, ginger, hazelnut and honeydew melon flavors. The winery tows very close to the organic using only natural yeasts and no filtering. Always well reviewed by the wine press and always a good value.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Very clear yellow color. Something of an oaky nose that hints of the vanilla. Lots of Vanilla on the initial palate. Slight hints of green apple tartness, then, something of a caramel taste. OK wine, but not my favorite. US$18.99 at Costco,
