Clos l'Eglise Castillon 2000

Winemaker's Notes:

"The outstanding 2000 Clos L'Eglise boasts a saturated ruby/purple color as well as a sumptuous bouquet of espresso roast intermixed with creme de cassis, blackberries, and licorice. The wine is rich, textured, succulent, and impressively pure and long. (The finish goes on for a good 40+ seconds.) This is serious stuff and a sleeper of the vintage. Anticipated maturity: now-2015." - Robert Parker "Rich and earthy, with berry, game and cherry aromas. Full-bodied, with soft tannins and a long, opulent fruity, vanilla aftertaste. Very well-done. Best after 2006. 4,165 cases made. (JS)" - The Wine Spectator
