Clos Lachance Cabernet Sauvignon Santa Cruz Mountains Estate 2006
Beautiful cassis and herbal aromas, a bit green. Great tannins, very young. highly acidic core. Would settle out with decanting 1-2 hours. Lots of sugarplum in the aromas, spicy and green olive. New world wine for old world wine lovers.Add winemaker's notes

Consistent with last bottle. Pure cassis, herb, and cedar aromas. Slightly vegetal notes, and a pepper/plum palate. Drying tannins. Needs time to open up. As it does, you get sweeter plum and cassis aromas and flavors, with herb, pepper, coffee bean, and olive. Very elegant. Well structured, with nice acidity.
November 2010 bymark restaurant, Toronto. Currant, cassis, plum, dark fleshy fruit blackberries and blueberries, chocolate, anise, rose petal with a very long smooth finish. Highly recommend it.
