Food Pairings for Clos Lachance Cabernet Sauvignon Central Coast
When I first poured this into the decanter, it smelled a lot like blackberry cobbler. As it opened up, it took on more of an earthy, wet leaves smell. On the palate, there's a lot going on: little bit of dark fruits, but also cherry cola, leather, cigar box, earthiness, wet leaves, tea, minerals and spices and a bit of savory/meatiness. Medium-full bodied, firm tannins,oak is very subtle, long earthy/spicy finish with a bit of pepper.
