Because of both time and space constraints, I am not able to provide tasting notes for the 2009 dry white Bordeaux, but it is an extremely strong vintage. Most châteaux equaled the dazzling quality of the 2007 dry whites. That said, the 2009s tend to... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. Winemaker's Notes:
Clos Floridène vineyard, in Pujols sur Ciron, located in the Graves region, has been slowly developed since 1982 by Denis and Florence Dubourdieu, thanks to the successive purchases of plots located in the best terroirs. The name of the estate is derived from the two founders’ first names.
Tasting Notes:
Clos Floridène Rouge is strongly marked by an unusual association in Bordeaux, Cabernet-Sauvignon on calcareous soil. With a bright and intense color, it has black-currant and wild strawberry aromas, with hints of mint, liquorice and smokiness. The fruit and tannin are powerful, silky and fresh.
Aged 12 months in French Oak.
Notes: 30% new oak barrels
