Clos Erasmus Red Rhone Blend Priorat Laurel 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

92 points Josh Raynolds (IWC): (75% garnacha, 20% syrah and 5% cabernet sauvignon, aged for 16 months in large and small used French oak casks): Saturated ruby. Sexy aromas of black raspberry, blueberry, incense and star anise, with a floral overtone. Sweet, palate- staining black and blue fruit flavors are silky and polished, becoming weightier and spicier with air. Sweet, gently tannic focused, finishing with floral and mineral nuances. Give this wine a little air of you plan on drinking it any time soon. (Sep 2012)

Tried it last night. Amazing wine. It was a real joy to drink it. Very flavorful with a strong nose of violets and cranberries. Blueberry jam mixed with raisin and chocalate. Long aftertaste. Very memorable wine. 94/100

On the palate it has superb volume, great focus, impeccable balance, and a lengthy finish. In ... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. Seductively perfumed, with soil-inflected aromas of cherry, dark berries, smoke, spices and dried violet, along with a strong graphite quality. Velve... Stephen Tanzer's IWC. The 2007 Laurel, a blend of 65% Garnacha and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, is deep purple-colored with a bouquet of wet stone, Asian spices, black cherry compote, and incense.
