The wine has a very deep red color, reach and full body (not watery at all !) but it is too dry for a Merlot to my personal taste. It is a good quality wine at a good price overall. It is just not for me.

Pleasant, soft tannins, medium bodied merlot, 87 sounds about right. Red & dark fruit, oak, smooth finish.

What a nice surprise when we tasted it after paying 7.99 on sale. Has the nose of a $25-50 bottle and the taste of a $20-$30 bottle. Very complex for under $10. Like a dry peppery Port. Nice spring red wine.

I didn't have this wine by itself, but it went great with a peppery prime rib!!!!

Supple and elegant, with plum, vanilla and smoky oak, and just enough complexity and ripe tannins to keep it sailing toward a solid finish.

The soulful notes of currant, tobacco and chocolate in our deep ruby Merlot precede a velvety drinkability. Lushly intense, the wine reveals layers of red cherry, plum, raspberry, strawberry and violet.

Following its deep ruby-red color, this velvety Merlot imparts aromas of black cherry, ripe plum, and sweet tobacco with a hint of oak spice. The blackberry, black cherry, and chocolate flavors are well balanced and concentrated. The rich finish is highlighted by long, supple tannins. - WineryVARIETAL COMPOSITION:94% Merlot2% Cabernet Sauvignon2% Petit Verdot1% Malbec1% Other RedsAGING: French, American, and Eastern European Oak (49% new)ACID/pH: 5.75g/L / 3.75RESIDUAL SUGAR: DryALCOHOL: 13.5%
