Drinking window: Drink between 2010 and 2013 (based on 1 user opinion) Community Tasting Notes (average 89 pts. and median of 89 pts. in 4 notes) - Tasted by MCrawford on 7/18/2011 & rated 88 points: Nice wine. A little herbal still, but day two was much better. Medium body, medium finish. Black fruit on the nose and through the palate with hints of mocha and chalk dust. Very raisin-y when first opened, but this blew off with the first glass. (724 views)

Wine Tasting NotesStarts with the elegant, briary, fruity and fabulous Merlot from Alexander Valley Elegant layer of toasty French oak to the ripe cherry and raspberry flavors. Incredibly aromatic, this Reserve Merlot offers aromas of violets, black cherry, plum and mocha that introduce forward berry/cherry fruit flavors and balanced oak tannins, followed by a long finish with oak and chocolate notes.
