Supple and harmonious, with smooth-textured currant, cedar, vanilla and sage notes that flow easily on the palate, holding the fruit complexity and finishing with ripe, integrated tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2009.
After two years in French oak, the tannins are soft, but the acids still evident. Has pretty aromas and flavors of vanilla, tobacco, smoke, and cassis, just seems a bit hard-edged on the finish. A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 8.5% Malbec, 1.5% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.
