Undurchdringliches Purpur, schwarze Reflexe. Kirschkompott und Heidelbeeren in der unheimlich dichten, von einer einzigartigen Komplexität geprägten Nase, eine Spur Menthol und die feinen Düfte Südfrankreichs offenbaren sich. Schwarzbeeriger Gaumen von bemerkenswerter Intensität, Brombeeren und schwarze Johannisbeeren, Anis und schwarzer Pfeffer dahinter; nebst seiner Kraft zeigt der Truffiers auch viel Eleganz, grossartig integrierte Tannine und ein sublimes, von Arabica-Kaffee und schwarzer Schokolade geprägtes, unheimlich langes, mineralisches Finale.

Soil: 5,000 vines/ha in compressed clay (grès) and limestone soils; 12 hls/ha before, and 10 hls/ha after, selection<br/><br/>Type of Harvest: The 2006 Clos des Truffiers was hand-harvested at the end of October and table-sorted three times before falling by gravity into a single, one-wine old Seguin-Moreau French oak tank<br/><br/>Vinification Method: 7-day cold soak @ 8° C is followed by a 60-day maceration with microbullage under the cap<br/><br/>Type of Wood: Oak<br/><br/>Alcohol Percentage: 15.8 %<br/><br/>Aging Time: 24 months
