Very good and open on the nose. Fruity and mild sweetness in the initial taste. Color is red on the darker side and medium bodied. I didn't feel much tanin and felt the wine was quite soft and smooth. Very nice overall.
Deep purple color, lighter than many Chateauneuf-du-Pape in the mouth (it's 60% grenache after all), but has a pretty nose and a long finish. Add the swankiest, hands down coolest most old fashioned modern label around. A great deal at Costco in Northern California ($25;1/09).
