Cloof Red Bordeaux Blend Groenekloof Lynchpin 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Named for the crytical important role played by Cabernet Franc (25%) blended with Merlot (71%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (4%) A very classy wine - a stunning combination of richness and finely tuned tannins.

The West Coast village of Darling is home to artists, actors, retired financiers, farmers and other interesting people (we’d count ourselves amongst those). Even if the region geographically (not to mention demographically) is more than a little off-centre, Darling’s annual wild flower show – showcasing a selection of the 1200 flowering species to be found here – makes it the focal point of the Cape Floral Kingdom. Late in 2006 Cloof and Burghers Post were named Champions under the Biodiversity & Wine Initiative, in recognition of the steps we’ve taken to conserve pristine natural vegetation, and to rehabilitate previously cultivated areas. The programme also sets extremely strict standards in terms of the potential environmental impact of vineyard and cellar activities. Darling’s unique combination of soils and climate (more on that in the Our Vineyards section of this website) give rise to the trademark bold-flavoured richness of Cloof wines. Read less

Weingut: Cloof WinesRegion: DarlingRebsorten: 71% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc 25%, 4% Cabernet SauvignonInhalt: 0,75 lAlkoholgehalt: 14,5 Vol.%Säuregehalt: 3,5 g/lRestsüße: trockenEmpfohlene Serviertemperatur:  16-18°CFassreife: in Barriques gereift (14 Monate)Lagerfähigkeit: 5 - 7 Jahre ab Jahrgang Rotwein > Südafrika > Darling
