Cloitre des Capucins 2010

Member Review by Terence Pang:

A cheapy AUD$20 wine from Costco, made by Antoine Moueix better known for Châteaus Capet-Guillier and Grand Renom. This representative Merlot-dominant blend from the Right Bank has a deep black ruby colour, soft blackcurrant and raspberry aromas with hints of sweet baby grass. A well-balanced wine with the high acidity shining through the young, ripe, powdery tannins. Lovely dark berry flavours persist on the palate, finishing with a residual texture of dark chocolate. Very nice with pork sausage and cabbage stew. Drink now – 2015.
