Add your reviewIf you need a Zin, this is fine but not great. Not a bad value. Some spicy dark fruit on the nose, typical zin body and decent finish with fruit and a bit of vanilla.

The 2009 Zinfandel California (80,000 cases produced) is a straightforward, jammy, richly fruity effort that makes a mockery of many overpriced Zinfandels. It delivers plenty of briery, peppery, spicy fruit in a medium-bodied, luscious format meant to be consumed over the next 1ndash;2 years.
Juicy and ripe, with modest black cherry, caramel and spice flavors. Drink now.
Wine Tasting NotesThe diversity in terroir from the two selected vineyards creates a complex and concentrated wine that has flavors of strawberries and a hint of spice balanced by mild acidity. Subtle nuances of vanilla from aging in French oak complement Sonoma Zinfandels explosive fruit flavors and velvety texture. An excellent accompaniment to grilled meats and vegetables or Parmesan risotto, this wine can be enjoyed now or cellared for five to seven years.
