A dark, intense, meaty style, with lots of tar, stewed plum, wild berry and mineral flavors . Turns thick and chewy on the finish, where the tannins are coarse and dry. Best from 2000 through 2004.
Cline Cellars is proud to release its first vintage of Live Oak Zinfandel. The wine displays tremendous extraction, a firm and balanced structure of acid and fine grain tannins with a sweet, ripe raspberry flavor and lots of flesh. Delicious now and will age beautifully for over a decade.
This old-vine vineyard has turned out a complex, age-worthy Zin. Itrsquo;s quite pungent and spicy, with dark black fruit and wild herbs running straight through to the finish. It really is a monster wine mdash; backward, tannic and oaky. Give it at least two years to soften, then enjoy with a grilled burger.
