Very nice bottle of California North Coast viognier. Nice floral notes, apricot, light touch of lemon and some weight on the mid-palate. Excellent alternative to the usual suspects (chard, sauv blanc).
Great nose of mango...pretty sweet on the palette with some great tropical fruit flavors...

Stone fruit flavors, such as apricots and peaches. Pairs with turkey or chicken (e.g., drier white meats) with herbs along with a side of wild rice. Because it is full-bodied and flavorful, this wine is also an excellent match for Mediterranean stews and food with heat (e.g., Thai curry or spicy Mexican dishes).
Had this with scallops and REALLY liked it. Don't generally like white wines, but this had a great nose and wonderful freshness.

Light yellow. Ripe melon and peach on the nose and palate, with subtle spice and honey notes in the background. Fleshy and open-knit, with good finishing cling but a touch of heat. Plenty of fruit here but I'd like more vibrancy.

From the first sniff to your last sip, the Cline 2012 Viognier will definitely put you in the mood for spring. When you first open the bottle, you will be pleasantly assaulted by melon, pineapple, citrus and floral scents. You can almost feel a warm breeze gently blowing nearby. The color is deep and rich, somewhere between honey and apple juice. This wine is surprisingly heavy on the tongue. It is also low on acidity, but has a very lively flavor. Lemon, apricot, pineapple and a hint of smoke make this a delightful treat as an apértif with mild cheeses, or a fruity pairing for Asian dishes. I recommend Thai food or a shrimp curry boullaibase.

It is difficult to find inexpensive Viognier, but Cline Cellarsrsquo; 2010, while not quite as interesting as their Pinot Gris, is certainly an authentic Viognier.
