User Reviews for Cline Cellars Red Blend Sonoma County Cashmere
Add your reviewGreat Rhone blend. Any wine that supports Breast Cancer Research is automatically awesome. This wine would benefit from aging for a year, but long healthy decant will also do the trick. Great fruit with some peppery zip on the finish. I paired it with roasted veggie pizza. The mushroom really complemented the dirty, dusty qualities.
I had this in a restaurant last night and really enjoyed it. It was smooth and supple with lots of different flavors going on. I had it with lamb and my dining partner with braised short ribs. It worked well with both dishes.
Served this with steak and cauliflower on Valentine's Day. A real hit. Very smooth. It was refreshing to taste the wine after it glided over the tip of my tongue. I guess I'm too accustomed to drinking cheap wine, because I usually get slammed by the bitterness at the onset of each sip. In any case, loved it. Got this bottle for $15 at The Wine Thief in St. Paul. Definitely will be buying this one again.

Pure and supple, this is easy to enjoy for its caressing tannins and savory plum and wild berry flavors. Good length. Mourvegrave;dre, Syrah, Grenache and Petite Sirah. Drink now through 2018.
Smooth-textured, with grapey wild berry and cherry fruit that's medium-bodied and easy to enjoy. Shows white pepper and spice hints on the finish. Mourvedre, Grenache and Syrah.
Rustic and country-style is the way to describe this Mourvedre, Syrah and Grenache blend. With its soft, dry finish, smooth tannins and cherry, cola, herb and spice flavors, it's food friendly.
Savory grape and wild berry flavors are trim, spicy, medium-bodied and complex, if on a modest scale. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Drink now.
Pure and supple, this is easy to enjoy for its caressing tannins and savory plum and wild berry flavors. Good length. Mourvandegrave;dre, Syrah, Grenache and Petite Sirah. Drink now through 2018.
A blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre, the solidly made 2008 Cashmere is a California Cotes du Rhone look-alike. Its dark ruby color is followed by aromas of loamy soil, herbs, plums, cherries, and currants offered in a medium-bodied, silky style. Enjoy it over the next year.
A wine I have liked a lot in the past is their Rhone Ranger blend of Mourvedre, Syrah, Grenache and Petite Sirah, the 2011 Cashmere. This is not up to the level of several previous examples, but it is medium-bodied and attractive, with pepper, raspberry and a hint of herbaceously tinged cherry fruit. Drink it over the next year.
Winemaker's Notes:
Wine Tasting Notes We initially created this blend as an auction lot for the Hospice du Rhone held in Paso Robles each year. Cashmere is a very flavorful, smooth wine offering big cherry, raspberry and chocolate notes with hints of cracked black pepper and plum. 63% Grenache, 22% Syrah and 15% Mourvedre.
