Cline Av Zinfandel 2006
Oakley, California--Out West, where the wild winds blow off the San Joaquin Rive, is where you will find Cline Cellars' gnarly, ancient grapevines. Growing in sand, without irrigation, their roots plunge 45 feet in search of water. These extreme conditions produce grapes with intense flavors. Oakley fiveREDS is a smooth blend of red grape varietals and offer flavors of spice berries. An excellent accompaniment to spice western grub or tomato-based dishes. Round up your posse and enjoy.
Deep, dark plum flavors with moderately strong woodsy tannins. It was good with spaghetti one night but only so-so with BBQ chicken the next night. Not bad.
This is a great wine in the under $10 range.
David says great value, excellent taste for the money. i thought it was very drinkable, but not memorable.
